Man arrested in cemetery following 'domestic disturbance' at home

A man has been arrested in a Fife cemetery following an alleged domestic disturbance at a property.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at an address in Cowdenbeath at around 7.50am.

Officers later traced a 36-year-old man to Beath Cemetery on Old Perth Road.

He was arrested in connection with the incident. An investigation to establish the full circumstances is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.50am on Sunday, 12 April, 2026, we received a report of a domestic disturbance at an address in Cowdenbeath.

“A 36-year-old man was later traced in the Old Perth Road area and arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries are ongoing.”
