A man has been charged after “assaults” took place onboard an early-morning flight which landed at Edinburgh Airport.
Police were called to reports of assaults taking place on a plane arriving into the capital at around 12.50am on Wednesday morning.
Officers attended the scene and a 43-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.50am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, police were called to a report of assaults onboard a plane arriving at Edinburgh Airport.
“Officers attended and a 43-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
“He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, April 17, 2024.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
