SNS GroupA man has been arrested and charged with assaulting and robbing an 82-year-old woman in Leith.
The 33-year-old suspect will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday.
The incident happened on Hamburgh Place at around 4.35pm on Monday, February 8.
Police Scotland said: “The woman was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with a serious injury and has since been released.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.”
