A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a woman was found dead at a property in Hawick.
Emergency services were called to an address on McLagan Drive following reports of an incident at around 7.20am on Thursday.
A 35-year-old woman, named by police as Stacey Hogg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lee Inglis appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court in connection with the incident on Friday, where he faced a single charge of murder.
The 39-year-old from the Scottish Borders made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear before the court again within eight days.
