A man has died and a car passenger is in critical condition after a three-car crash in Clackmannanshire.
Emergency services were called to the collision on the A907, Alloa Road at Park Terrace, in Cambus, at around midnight on Sunday.
Officers confirmed a 48-year-old man died following the crash which involved a Citroen C1, a Ford Fiesta and an Audi A4.
The man who died was a rear seat passenger in the C1.
Two women, the driver and front passenger of the C1, were taken to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where the passenger’s condition has been described as critical.
The driver of the C1 has since been discharged from hospital.
Police confirmed that a 32-year-old woman who was driving the Ford Fiesta was arrested and released pending “further enquiry”.
Those in the Audi A4 were unharmed in the crash.
Sergeant Scott Kirkpatrick, of the Forth Valley Roads Policing Unit, said: “If you witnessed the crash or may have dashcam footage that may assist our investigation, then please call officers via 101 quoting incident number 0003 of Sunday, January 7, 2023.”
