A man has died after being found seriously injured in an Edinburgh park on Hogmanay.
He was pronounced dead at the scene after police were called to the Meadows at around 10.30pm on Wednesday night.
Officers are treating the death as “unexplained”.
A spokesperson said: “Around 10.35pm on Wednesday, 31 December, 2025, officers were called to Middle Meadow Walk, Edinburgh, following a report of a man injured.
“Emergency services attended however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Police said the death is being treated as “unexplained”, but added that there are “not believed to be any suspicious circumstances”.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
