A pensioner has died in hospital six days after he was struck by a bus in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to Annandale Street at the junction with Haddington Place after reports of the crash at around 1.20am on September 28.
An 81-year-old man was taken to the hospital following the incident, where he died on Saturday. No one else was injured during the incident.
Sergeant Louise Birrell said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and they have asked for privacy.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone with information that could help who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.”
Those with information have been urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0302 of Sunday, September 28.
