A man has died in hospital after crashing into a parked car in East Lothian.
Emergency services were called to A199 Haddington Road, in Tranent, at around 12.05pm on Tuesday after a white Vauxhall Vivaro collided with a blue Citroen C3 Aircross, which was stationary.
The 55-year-old driver of the Vauxhall was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where he later died.
The road was closed to allow for crash investigation and reopened at 3.30pm.
Sergeant Jamie Humpage said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this crash.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened and I’d appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash and may have witnessed it or anyone with dash-cam footage which could assist, to come forward.”
