Man dies on Princes Street outside Uniqlo

Emergency services were called to the capital's main shopping street at around 6am on Wednesday.

A man has been pronounced dead on Princes Street in Edinburgh after being found unresponsive.

Emergency services were called to the capital’s main shopping street outside the Uniqlo store at around 6am on Wednesday.

Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6am on Wednesday, June 25, we received a report of an unresponsive man on Princes Street in Edinburgh.

“Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
