A man has died after being knocked down on a Fife street.
The 33-year-old was on St Margaret Street in Dunfermline when a white Mercedes Benz A-Class struck him after leaving a car park.
The driver stopped and emergency services were called, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision which took place at around 9.50pm on Wednesday.
Sergeant Nicola Young, of the road policing unit, said: “We’re appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this to contact us.
“We’re also specifically appealing to a person who spoke to the driver just after the incident happened.”.
