A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a man was “dragged along the street” by a car during a hit and run incident in West Lothian.
Emergency services were called to Queens Crescent, Livingston, after a man was found lying seriously injured at around 10.55pm on Friday.
Enquiries indicate that the man was standing beside a white car, before it left the scene at speed, dragging the 46-year-old along the street “by some distance”.
He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he received treatment for a serious leg injury.
Officers confirmed that a 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court at a later date.
