A man is fighting for his life in hospital following a crash between a car and a double-decker bus in Rosyth.
Emergency services were called to the A985 Admiralty Road around 1.15pm on Wednesday following the crash involving a black Ford Mustang and a Stagecoach bus.
A 30-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car, was airlifted to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in critical condition.
The driver, 30, was also taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The road was closed for six hours before reopening around 7.45pm.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Chris Anderson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened and has not already spoken to officers.
“We are also asking those driving in the area around the time of the crash to please check any dash-cam footage they have to see if something has been captured that could help with our investigation.”
