A man has been taken to hospital after being found seriously injured in Edinburgh.
Police were called to the Holyrood Park area, around the slopes of Arthur’s Seat, at around 6.10am on Wednesday morning.
The badly injured man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary while officers remained on the scene to investigate.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.10am on Wednesday, June, 9 we received a report of a man seriously injured in the Holyrood Park area.
“He has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
“Officers remain at the scene conducting enquiries.”
