An man is in hospital after being hit by a car at a junction in West Lothian.
The 86-year-old pedestrian was on Langton Road, East Calder, at the junction with Oatbank Road around 10.40am on Wednesday when he was hit by a Ford Focus.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment, where his condition is currently unknown.
The road was closed for four hours before reopening around 2.30pm.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Al Marshall said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
