A man was taken to hospital for serious facial injuries after a group of around five men assaulted and robbed him in Livingston.
The 23-year-old was walking on a path behind Fulmar Brae in Ladywell, between 5pm and 6pm on Saturday, February 27, when the gang approached him.
The attack left him seriously hurt and his wallet and phone were stolen.
He was taken to St John’s Hospital where he was treated before being discharged.
Police said that it is believed five men were involved in the assault. One was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a bright yellow jumper, another had a black Stone Island jacket on.
Detective Sergeant Graham Garvie from Livingston CID said: “This has been a terrifying incident for the man involved and has left him with serious injuries.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or saw a group of men within the swing park, to contact us.”
