It is understood that the man was leaving the medical practice at the time of the incident.

An investigation has been launched after a man was racially abused and assaulted by a gang of teenagers in Dunfermline.

The man is understood to have been leaving a medical practice on Chapel Street in High Valleyfield area around 7pm when he was targeted.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing and police say they are following a “positive line of enquiry”.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, police were called after a man was assaulted and racially abused by a group of teenagers on Chapel St, High Valleyfield, Dunfermline.

“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
