A man has been reported in connection with a hit and run which left a pedestrian with serious injuries in Kirkcaldy.

Emergency services were called to Winifred Street, at its junction with Hendry Road, following reports of a man being struck by a red car at around 5.50pm on Wednesday.

A 54-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital, where medical teams described his injuries as serious.

Officers have since reported a 57-year-old man to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences.

A police spokesperson said: “A 57-year-old man has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with road traffic offences. It follows an investigation into a hit and run in Kirkcaldy.

“The incident happened on Winifred Street, at its junction with Hendry Road, around 5.50pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.”
