A man has been reported after a car was rammed through the door of a shopping centre as an armed gang stole designer clothes in Livingston.
The Centre in Livingston was targeted at around 12.15am on Tuesday, March 17.
Police say four men got out of a black Nissan Juke car and a white Audi S5 vehicle and approached the east side of the shopping centre.
They entered one of the shops and grabbed several rails of designer clothing, which they placed in the Audi.
A short time later, police said the Nissan was torched, and the gang fled in the Audi, driving off at speed along the pathway towards the roadway and into Almondvale Road heading East.
A man has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with the incident.
He has also been reported in connection with seven break-ins at post offices, shops and homes in Midlothian, West Lothian, Edinburgh and Forth Valley.
Detective Sergeant John Irvine said: “We are committed to tackling acquisitive crime and we know these incidents were concerning to residents in the local areas.
“Our enquiries continue into other such offences, and I’d like to thank those members of the public who came forward following our earlier appeals for information.”
