A pedestrian, who was getting out of a car at the time of the crash, was taken to hospital as a precaution.

A man was taken to hospital after a car crashed into bollards outside a Tesco in Dunfermline.

Emergency services were called to the supermarket on Winterthur Lane in the city centre at around 11.30am on Sunday.

Pictures from the scene showed the car sitting next to a pedestrian crossing in the undercover car park with its front end smashed in.

A man, who was getting out of a parked car at the time of the crash, was taken to hospital as a precaution.

He is not believed to be seriously injured.

A woman was reported in connection with a road traffic offence.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.25am on Sunday, January 19, 2025, we were made aware of a crash involving two cars and a pedestrian in the Winterthur Lane area of Dunfermline.

“Emergency services attended and a man was taken to hospital as a precaution.

“A woman was reported in connection with a road traffic offence.”
