A man has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a Fife dental clinic.
Emergency services were called to the Cupar Dental Access Centre on Bank Street at around 10.20am on Wednesday, following reports of a collision.
Three fire engines and specialist resources were sent to the scene to ensure the building was safe before leaving the area at 11.37am.
The driver, a 77-year-old man, was taken to hospital to be checked over.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.20am on January 28, we received a report that a car had struck a building on Bank Street, Cupar.
“Emergency services attended, and the driver, a 77-year-old man, was taken to hospital to be checked over. No other injuries were reported.
“No further police action is required.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: “We were alerted at 10.18am on Wednesday, January 28, to reports of a vehicle colliding with a medical clinic on Bank Street in Cupar.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and speciality resources to assist emergency service partners at the scene.
“One adult male casualty was left in care of Scottish Ambulance Service.
“Crews left at 11.37am after ensuring the area was made safe.”
The health board confirmed there was no disruption to patient appointments.
A NHS Fife spokesperson said: “Emergency services attended promptly and the area was assessed and made safe.
“No one was injured, and there has been no disruption to patient appointments or services.
“We want to reassure the public that there is no ongoing concern, and the Dental Access Centre is open as normal.”
