A man has been taken to hospital after an explosion ripped through a house in West Lothian.
Emergency crews were called to reports of a blast at the property on Dixon Road, Whitburn, at around 9.30am on Tuesday.
The male occupant of the house has been taken to hospital where he is being treated by medical staff.
The extent of his injuries is unknown.
Residents of a neighbouring house were also evacuated as a precaution.
Police, fire and ambulance crews remain at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “Enquiries in to the circumstances surrounding the explosion are continuing.”
