A manhunt has been launched after a woman had a bag containing a four-figure sum of cash snatched from her in the street.
The 29-year-old victim was targeted in the St Ninians area of Stirling at around 1.15pm on Monday.
The man then made off along Main Street in the direction of the Post Office.
Police are appealing for witnesses to get in touch and are urging drivers to check their dashcam footage.
Detective sergeant Gillian Rennie said: “Thankfully the woman was not hurt in the incident but it was understandably very frightening for her.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Main Street on Monday that may have seen the male suspect running away or suspicious behaviour around that time.
“If anyone was driving in the area, I would also ask them to check their dashcams for any footage which may be able to assist us.”
