A manhunt has been launched after £20,000 of cable was stolen from a section of train track in Fife.

Network Rail staff found sections of cable cut and hidden near Valleyfield Lagoons around 2.50pm on January 26.

Police were called to the discovery and found that other attempts had been made to cut cables.

The damage caused is estimated to be worth around £20,000.

Those with information have been urged to contact British Transport Police on 61016, or call 0800 40 50 40, using the reference 347 of January 26
