A manhunt is under way for the driver of a car that struck a motorbike and fled the scene in West Lothian on Friday.

The hit-and-run took place on Ladywell East Road, outside Ladywell Pharmacy, in Livingston around 7.25pm.

Detectives are searching for a dark coloured car that failed to stop after it crashed with a Sinnis GPX 125 motorbike.

The female motorcyclist was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

Constable Louise Wallstedt said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or may have seen the vehicles involved to please contact us.

“We would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage or CCTV footage which could assist our enquiries, to come forward.”

Those with information are urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3229 of Friday, March 20, 2026.
