A motorcyclist has been left seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash in Fife.
Emergency services were called to the B942 east of Pittenweem at the junction for the A917 to Abercrombie around 7.50am on Monday, following reports of a collision involving a green Herald Classic 250cc motorcycle and a black Hyundai Tucson car.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 68-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The road was closed for three hours to allow for an investigation to take place.
Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, or was driving in the area at the time and saw either vehicle prior, to get in touch with officers.
“I’d also ask those with dash-cam footage review this to see if it has captured anything of significance that could assist with our investigation.”
