Exhibits at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh have been getting a spring clean ahead of the attraction reopening to the public.
On Monday, the museum will be allowed to reopen alongside pubs, restaurants and gyms as coronavirus restrictions continue to ease across the country.
Chanté St Clair Inglis, head of collections services at the museum, said staff have been working hard to keep exhibits clean and keep clothes moths at bay.
“We have a team of specialists who can come to site, identify clothes moth if it’s present and then take action, which essentially means removing objects from display and freezing them,” she said.
“So we have a big walk-in freezer at our collection centre in Granton, where we freeze objects at -30C for about a period of five days and then clean them and return them to display.”
