An NHS worker at a prison has tested positive for coronavirus.
NHS Lothian said none of the residents at HMP Addiewell in West Lothian are affected and the prison remains open.
The health board’s health protection team has completed contact tracing around the prison and all close contacts of the confirmed case have been asked to self-isolate for 14 days.
It said the situation will be closely monitored.
The health board said: “NHS Lothian, the health protection team and HMP Addiewell are working together to assess the situation and ensure that all contingency measures are in place.
“Everyone should continue to be vigilant and aware of the symptoms of Covid-19 and take all precautions, such as maintaining social distancing, regular hand-washing and wearing a face covering where appropriate.”
