UPDATE: Missing 51-year-old from Edinburgh traced “safe and well”, confirmed Police Scotland.

Police are appealing for information to help trace a man missing from Edinburgh.

Steven Auld, 51, was last seen in the Sighthill Grove area at around 8.30pm on Monday, March 18.

He is described as 5ft 7ins tall, with short brown hair.

Police said it is “out of character” for him to be away from his family for this length of time.

Inspector Paul Thomson said: “We are carrying out enquiries and I’m appealing for any information which may help us trace Steven.

“It is out of character for him to be away from his family for this length of time.

“Steven, if you see this appeal, please make contact with police so we can ensure you’re safe and well.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 0693 of March 19.
