A family in West Lothian is celebrating a very important milestone as their quadruplet baby boys mark their first birthday.
Brothers Rory, Harrison, Ben, and Noah were safely delivered to proud parents John and Arlene Mitchell on May 14 last year.
Each baby weighed around 2.9 lbs when they were delivered via C-section at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with the help of a 20-strong team.

Their birth marked the first time the hospital had delivered quadruplets, with the medical team preparing for months for their arrival.
And, after what mum Arlene described as a “crazy, mental” year, the family of eight – also including proud big sister Lauren and big brother Hunter – had a lot to celebrate.
Speaking to STV, Arlene said: “It’s been the best year of our lives basically. They’re up to everything now, so now I think it’s better than what it was when they were small. My husband thinks it was better when they were wee!”

“Harrison screams a lot, so when he screams, Rory cries, so you can see that he’s maybe a wee bit sensitive.
“And the other two are just crazy, they’re always running about, screaming as well.”
Mum and dad now preparing for the next big milestone – four toddlers on the move.
