A person has died following an incident on a train line between Edinburgh Haymarket and Linlithgow.
Emergency services were called to Edinburgh Park Railway Station at around 10am on Thursday, following reports of a casualty.
Medics pronounced an individual dead at the scene. Investigators are not treating the incident as suspicious.
A spokesperson from the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to a report of a casualty on the tracks just before 10am on October 3 at Edinburgh Park Railway Station.
“Officers and paramedics attended and sadly a person was pronounced deceased. The incident is not thought to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
Scotrail has warned commuters to expect delays or revised services between Haymarket, Glasgow Queen Street, Inverness, Dunblane and Helensburgh Central.
Tickets are being accepted by Edinburgh Trams between Edinburgh Park Station and St Andrew Square, Scottish Citylink between Edinburgh and Glasgow in both directions and Midland Bluebird between Stirling, Alloa, Falkirk and Edinburgh
