Dozens of pets have taken part in an annual animal blessing at Greyfriars Kirk in Edinburgh.
All sorts of four-legged friends were welcomed to the event on Sunday, which sees representatives from different faiths come together to celebrate animals and fundraise for Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home.
Now in its fourth year, the ceremony featured an animal parade through Greyfriars Kirkyard before concluding with a wreath-laying at the grave of Greyfriars Bobby.
STV NewsJoe Goldblatt from Edinburgh Interfaith Association said: “People want to come to Greyfriars Kirk every year for the blessing of the animals because they are our precious friends and they are living beings.
“They deserve all the love and care and compassion that they can receive.”
