A pod of orcas have been captured on camera swimming in the Firth of Forth.
The footage, captured by Emily Burton from the Scottish Seabird Centre, shows the killer whales breaching and porpoising.
It is rare to spot orcas on the east coast of Scotland as they are most frequently seen on the north and west coasts.
A small pod resides year-round on the west coast, and northern pods are commonly sighted in Shetland, Orkney and on the north coast.
However, sightings like the one in the Firth of Forth are not completely unheard of, with northern pods occasionally travelling south to the east of Scotland to feed.
Orcas, or killer whales, are apex predators recognisable by their black and white patterned bodies and can grow up to ten metres in size.
Pods can reach up to 50 individuals and can travel at up to 35 miles per hour.
