Police are appealing for information following a wilful fire in Jedburgh.
Emergency services were called to a blaze at a building near Sharplaw Road at around 8.40pm on Tuesday.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was in attendance, and the fire was extinguished soon after with no reports of any injuries.
Officers investigating the incident are treating it as deliberate and are looking to speak to any potential witnesses to establish the full circumstances.
Detective Constable Carmichael said: “I’m appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious, or has any information about what happened, to contact us.
“I’d also like to ask drivers with dash-cams who were travelling on Sharplaw Road on the evening of Tuesday, September 23, to please review their footage, as they may have captured something which would assist our investigation.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
