Police boarded a Ryanair flight at Edinburgh Airport on Christmas Eve after a passenger allegedly stole items from the trolley.
Officers were called to the flight from Las Palmas in Gran Canaria, which landed at Edinburgh after 4pm on Wednesday, December 24.
A clip shared on TikTok showed a crew member announcing to the cabin: “The items, if they hand them over, if that happens, everyone gets off the plane quicker.”
Images shared alongside the social media post showed officers stationed throughout the aisle.
Police say enquiries were carried out but the missing items, believed to have included food and drink, were not recovered.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.15pm on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, we received a report of items being stolen on a flight landing at Edinburgh Airport.
“Enquiries were carried out however the items were not recovered.”
Ryanair has been contacted for comment.
