Police are ‘increasingly concerned’ for the welfare of man missing from the Scottish Borders since Sunday.

Victor Cunningham was last seen in the Melbourne Place area of Newtown St Boswells at around 10pm on Sunday.

The 45-year-old is described as white, around 5ft 9 inches in height and of slim build.

He may be wearing a dark beanie hat, dark trousers, and possibly a red or dark coloured jacket.

Inspector Rachel Campbell said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Victor and would appeal to anyone who knows his whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible.

“Victor has links in the Peebles and Innerleithen areas so we would ask anyone with any information to please get in touch with police.”
