Adobe StockAn investigation has been launched into the unexplained death of a man in Edinburgh.
Emergency services were called to a flat in the Northfield Avenue area around 9.30pm on Wednesday following reports of concern for a man.
The man was taken to hospital where he later died.
Police are treating the death as unexplained.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.30pm on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, we were called to concern for a man at a flat in the Northfield Avenue area of Edinburgh. He was taken to hospital where he later died.
“At this time officers are treating the death as unexplained.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
