A pensioner has been reported missing after disappearing almost two days ago from North Berwick.
Alexander Murdoch, known as Alec, was last seen around 10pm in the town on Thursday evening.
Police said concerns are growing for the welfare of the 71-year-old, who was last seen wearing closed toe beige sandals, navy shorts, a black or dark red t-shirt and was possibly in possession of a beige jacket.
He is described as white, 5ft 8in tall, of slim/medium build, with grey/white hair balding on top and very close shaven on the sides. He also wears wire framed glasses.
Inspector Laura Stevenson said: “This is very unusual for Alexander and concerns are growing for his welfare and we want to make sure he is safe and well.
“Anyone who has seen him or knows of his whereabouts, please get in touch.
“Also, can householders please check their gardens, sheds, outbuildings and communal areas in case Alexander has sought shelter.”
If you can assist call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2037 of Thursday, June 22.
