Police have launched an investigation following the death of a man found injured in an Edinburgh street.
Emergency services were called to Couper Street in Leith shortly after 7am on Friday.
A 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.10am on Friday, police were called to reports of a man found injured in Couper Street in Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended but the 52-year-old man was pronounced dead.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full set of circumstances surrounding the incident.”
