Police release CCTV images after hate crime incident in shop

Police have released CCTV images of a man following a hate crime incident in Dalkeith.

Officers are investigating the incident at a shop on Eskdaill Court on Friday, March 27 and are keen to speak with the man pictured.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Officers are keen to speak to the man in the images as they believe he could assist them with their enquiries.

“If anyone recognises the man in the photo, please contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2152 of March 27, 2026. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
