The death of a man in Edinburgh city centre is being treated as ‘unexplained’.
The body of the 59-year-old was discovered in the Hunter Square area at around 10.35pm on Sunday. Investigators are treating the death as “unexplained”.
Enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.35pm on Sunday, 14 June, we received a report of death in the Hunter Square area of Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and a 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are aware.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
