Red Hot Chilli Pipers 'extremely disappointed' after promotor cancels concert at Royal Highland Centre

Two concerts due to be held at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh have been cancelled due to an issue with the promoter.

The Red Hot Chilli Pipers were due to perform on Sunday, but confirmed via social media that the event had been cancelled by the promoter, XFire.Live.

In a statement, the band said they were “extremely disappointed” by the decision.

They said: “It is with regret that we need to inform you that our show at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh, on Sunday October 4 has been cancelled by the promoter.

“Refunds will be issued directly by the promoter, and we are extremely disappointed that the situation has reached this point.

“Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to seeing you all on our upcoming Scottish tour this December.”

The Ministry of Sound: Classical, due to be held on October 2, has also been cancelled, according to the Royal Highland Centre.

The statement read: “We can confirm that Ministry of Sound and Red Hot Chilli Pipers will no longer be going ahead as planned at the Royal Highland Centre.

“We know a number of people have been in touch with us looking for confirmation, and we understand the disappointment this cancellation will cause.

“The Royal Highland Centre does not manage the ticketing for these events. For all ticketing and refund enquiries, please contact bookings@xfire.live for further support.”

It comes weeks after the same promoter was forced to cancel concerts at The Kelpies for The Fratellis and James Morrison in the run-up to the event.
