A falling tree has crushed a moving taxi on a street in Edinburgh.
The incident happened at around 3.30pm on Friday as the black cab was travelling along Cramond Road South in the Davidson’s Mains part of the city.
Near the roundabout with Main Street, the tree fell across both sides of the road, hitting the car’s roof and bonnet and stopping it in its tracks.
Police said no one had been injured and officers have closed the road off in both directions.
A police spokesman said: “We were called around 3.30pm on Friday, May 22, to a report of a tree falling on a taxi in Cramond Road South, Edinburgh.
“No one was injured but the road is still closed.”
It comes amid strong winds in parts of the country, with a yellow weather warning in place for areas in the north-west of Scotland for Saturday afternoon.
