STV NewsA road has been closed in Midlothian following a crash involving two vehicles.
The collision occurred around 2.40pm on Tuesday afternoon in Dalkeith.
Officers said as a result, Newbattle Road at Eskbank is closed between the Justinlees roundabout and Abbey Road.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area while emergency services are in attendance.
A Police Scotland statement read: “Newbattle Road at Eskbank, Dalkeith, is closed between the Justinlees roundabout and Abbey Road following a two vehicle crash that happened around 2.40pm on Tuesday, January 21.
“Emergency services are in attendance and road users are asked to avoid the area.”
