The public has been urged to avoid a street near Haymarket train station after a fire broke out at a five-storey building.
Emergency services were called to Haymarket Terrace at around 4.56pm on Thursday following reports of a blaze.
Five engines and other resources are currently on the scene as firefighters attempt to extinguish the flames.
There have been no reported injuries following the incident.
Police officers have closed a number of roads, and the public has been urged to avoid the area.
