iStockA power outage has disrupted train services between Glasgow and Edinburgh during rush hour.
Network Rail said its teams were working to fix the issue between Polmont and Croy, which is impacting services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High.
The company said there had been a failure of the electricity supply to the overhead lines.
It’s not yet clear how many services have been impacted by the problem.
A ScotRail spokesperson said: “We’ve received reports of overhead power issues between Polmont and Croy affecting the running of our trains between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High.
“Staff are currently investigating and as soon as we have more information we’ll update you.”
A Network Rail spokesperson said: “Our engineers are responding to a loss of power to the overhead wires between Polmont and Croy on the Edinburgh-Glasgow main line. We’ll share more info ASAP.”
