A street in South Lanarkshire has been shut following a crash involving a car and pedestrian.
Emergency services were called to Main Street in Rutherglen after reports of the collision at around 4.10pm on Tuesday.
Officers have closed the streets between McCallum Avenue and Hamilton Road, and road users have been urged to avoid the area.
No further information has been given on injuries.
The seriousness of the pedestrian’s injuries are not yet known.
A spokesperson from Police Scotland said: “Around 4.10pm on Tuesday, November 5, we received a report of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Main Street, Rutherglen.
“Emergency services are in attendance, and Main Street is closed between McCallum Avenue and Hamilton Road.
“Drivers are asked to avoid the area.”
