A search is under way for a 12-year-old girl who has been missing overnight in Fife.
Police have called Brogan Mair’s disappearance “very concerning” as they appeal for the public’s help in finding her.
The schoolgirl, from Leslie in Glenrothes, was last seen at around 1pm on Tuesday and has not been in touch with any known friends or family since.
Brogan, who has never been missing before, is described as being around 5ft2 with brown eyes, a slim build and long fair/blonde hair.
She also has a hoop nose piercing and is believed to be wearing a black McKenzie jacket, black puma trainers and black leggings.
Officers investigating the disappearance believe she could have travelled to Dundee, however this is currently only one line of enquiry.
Sergeant Nicola Crookston, Police Scotland, Glenrothes, said: “She has not been missing before and so far no one has been able to get a hold of her either on her mobile or through friends.
“She is only 12 years old and the fact that she has been out without contact overnight is very concerning for her family, friends and police.
“We, like her family, just want her back safe and well.
“If you have seen Brogan, or have any information as to where she is, then please contact Police Scotland via 101.”
