Police are searching for a woman from South Queensferry who has not been seen in two weeks.

Melissa Barnes was last seen on Garvald Street in Edinburgh around 5am on June 13.

The 31-year-old was reported missing on June 24.

Police say it is unusual for Melissa not to be in touch with friends or family, and have appealed for anyone with information on her whereabouts to come forward.

She is described as being around 5ft 3in tall, with long fair/blonde hair. Her current clothing is not known.

Inspector Crerar said: “It is unusual for Melissa not to be in touch with family or friends, and our enquiries are ongoing to trace her.

“I am appealing for anyone who has seen Melissa or who has any information on her whereabouts to contact us.

“I would also ask Melissa herself to get in touch to let us know she is safe.”
