Seven teenagers have been charged after a man was allegedly stabbed in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called after a man was assaulted around 10.20pm on Sunday in the Clovenstone Gardens area of the city.

A 38-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.

Six teenage girls, aged 15, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 18 and a 15-year-old male were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Police said a report will be submitted to the relevant authorities

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.20pm on Sunday, March 8, 2026, we were called to a report of a man assaulted in the Clovenstone Gardens area of Edinburgh.

“Officers attended, and the 38-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment, then later released.

“Six females aged 15, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 18 and one 15-year-old male were arrested and charged in connection.

“A report will be submitted to the relevant authorities.”
