Police ScotlandA man described by police as a sexual predator has been jailed for seven years after raping a woman in Fife.
Joel Macphee carried out the sex attack in Limekilns in September 2024.
The 26-year-old was jailed at the High Court in Edinburgh on Tuesday after being found guilty last month.
He was placed on the sex offenders register and banned from contacting his victim for 99 years.
Detective Constable Douglas Potter said: “Macphee is a sexual predator who will now face the consequences of his despicable actions.
“Police Scotland is committed to fully investigating all reports of sexual crime.
“We have specially trained officers to support victims and work with partner agencies to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.”
